Panglao Island: A Slice of Paradise

Blue waters, white sand beach, rhythm of huts and coconut trees: all of these and more in Panglao Island, a slice of Paradise.

After I tasted the green chocolates in Carmen Bohol, my trail continued.

I explored the paradise of Panglao Island.

That was 2007 when I visited the famous Panglao. It is known for its diving locations and tourist resorts. At the pristine Alona Beach, tours can be organized to the diving sites. Together with my travel buddies, we stayed at Alona Kew White Beach Resort.

Alona Kew White Beach Resort was a good pick. It has a relaxing feel where you can escape to idyllic, sandy beaches. This resort also provides unlimited recreational options like diving, snorkeling, and island hopping.

But if you just want to stay and taste the place at its best, you can spend time swimming in the pool just right in front of your cottage room. It's also a good place to soak under the sun.

Located on Alona Beach, this resort offers affordable seaside accommodations fitted with private toilet and bath with hot and cold shower. I also enjoyed the hearty breakfast compliments of the resort.

After a day of having fun, you can relax with an invigorating massage to soothe your tired muscles or take a pampering break in their Salon.

Inside the resort is an impressive array of facilities and services that provide an alternative to outdoor activities. The resort has a restaurant that offers a wide range of gastronomic delights and a gym for keeping fit.

Trail Impact:

To experience paradise is a choice. The Philippines has so many hidden paradise. Too many to mention. At the end of the day, it is your choice: to remain a foreigner of your own islands, or to explore and experience the wonders of your very own country. Only then you can utter, I've been to paradise!

What about you? Have been to Panglao Island? How was your experience? Share your trails by dropping your comments below.

  2. Alona's just sooo beautiful. I've seen so many beaches and it's still one of my faves. We stayed in Alona Kew too, but can barely remember how it's like coz our trip to Bohol happened years ago. Perhaps I should revisit to refresh my memory ;p
